Each ZOYC workshop will have the same 3-day schedule, shown below.
Tuesday – Minisymposium with 3 Lectures on Live Cell Imaging
- Live Cell Imaging: Five Basic Requirements
- Photomanipulation: Considerations, Advantages, and Limitations
- Single Molecules: Going Beyond Basic Imaging
Exact times and room locations are to be determined. Sign up below to be emailed one week in advance with this information.
Wednesday - Basic Hands-On Labs with Live Cells
We will have one morning lab session and one afternoon lab session with live cells designed to deal with photobleach, phototoxicity, sample drift, sample movements, and optimizing imaging parameters. We will have three different types of microscope systems to choose from:
VivaTome (1 MB), Structured Illumination System
Cell Observer SD (1.2 MB), Spinning Disc Confocal with
LSM 780 (7.3 MB), Laser Scanning Confocal
You can register for up to two different sessions on Wednesday to experience two different systems. If you are interested in seeing all three systems, you can sign up for an additional lab on Thursday morning.
Thursday - Basic & Advanced Hands-On Labs with Live Cells
The Thursday morning lab session will be a repeat of the labs from Wednesday. The afternoon lab session will be advanced demonstrations on high speed imaging, photoactivation, and FRAP. You can sign up for a morning basic lab and/or an afternoon advanced demonstration.

Step 3: Fill in your personal information and hit Register.
You will receive a confirmation email with further details as the event gets closer.
