Upgradeablility
Due to its modular design, Colibri offers high flexibility and upgradeability: ten different wavelengths from UV to dark red are currently available. The LED modules and beam combiners can be easily exchanged by the user. Future developments in the rapidly advancing LED technology, e.g. new wavelengths or brighter emitting LEDs, can therefore be implemented quickly, without complication.

The LED modules are equipped with ACR (automatic component recognition) and automatically signal when at the correct position, ruling out the possibility for errors. Motorized switching capability is already integrated for those users who cannot or do not wish to do without an additional white light source.

Colibri
can be operated as a stand-alone unit on upright and inverted, manual and motorized microscopes, but can also be controlled within the basic version of AxioVision software without additional cost.

Colibri unfolds its full performance potential in the CellObserver HS high speed environment, in which maximum speed is guaranteed through direct TTL control.
