Total Internal Reflection Fluorescence, (TIRF)
Gain new knowledge about the molecular mechanisms at the boundary to the cell interior. This is a highly complex application, as even the quickest membrane processes with very weak signals have to be made visible using extremely short exposure times.
To date, TIRF has been the only method that could be used to examine processes in the cell membrane environment.
Laser TIRF system from Carl Zeiss
- compact complete system
- maximum protection by means of intelligent laser safety
- quick and variable combination options
- simple operation

The Laser TIRF imaging system achieves the best contrast and optimum resolution in x, y and z. It permits examinations of layer thicknesses of < 200 nm as well as examinations of processes at the cell membrane and in the cell-free space, in a very thin layer and in real time.
The simple combination with Epi-fluorescence, reproducible adjustment and the outstanding laser safety equipment of the Carl Zeiss TIRF system guarantees the sucsess of your research. | |
