Zeiss on Your Campus (ZOYC) is a traveling workshop across the US and Canada designed to educate scientists and their students in the fundamentals of various microscopy techniques. These free workshops are non-commercial and aim to assist researchers in optimizing the use of their current equipment. In 2010, our focus will be on live cell imaging.

Day 1 – Minisymposium with 3 Lectures on Live Cell Imaging
- Live Cell Imaging: Five Basic Requirements
- Photomanipulation: Considerations, Advantages, and Limitations
- Single Molecules: Going Beyond Basic Imaging
Register to be emailed dates, times, and room locations for the lectures.
Days 2 and 3 – Basic & Advanced Hands-On Labs with Live Cells
- In the basic labs, participants will use live cells to learn how to deal with such topics as photobleach, phototoxicity, sample drift, sample movements, and optimizing imaging parameters.
- Advanced labs will focus on topics such as high speed imaging, FRAP, and photoactivation.
To maximize hands on time with the equipment, lab space is limited. Reservations are required for the hands-on labs. Register here.
Dates and Locations
Register for more information and to reserve your spot. Attendance is free and open to everyone regardless of institutional affiliation. Space is limited and reservations are required for the hands-on labs.
