Dynamic sampling of measuring plans
With CALYPSO, the measurement plans are programmed based on the production process-oriented measurement planning principle. The CNC program in CALYPSO itself is no longer linear but hierarchical in line with the production process. The technique of featureoriented measuring permits individual inspection of all size, form and position features. Single features or entire production segments can also be inspected.

This is where it gets dynamic: the Master Control Center can be used to add dynamic rules to CALYPSO CNC programs. These rules must be defined by the user based on production parameters.

Examples for such rules are:
  • Defining sampling plans: Loop sizes are defined with Master Control Center.
  • Trend analyses: Depending on measurement results new sampling rules are calculated (customer specific),
The sampling plans are sent to CMM by Master Control Center. A modification of the CNC programs from CALYPSO on the measuring machine is not necessary for this. The system automatically calculates the new travel paths for the dynamic characteristic lists and the features selected from them. Now CMM is controlling only the relevant feature sequences.

Pre-requisites:
  • CALYPSO Version 4.6ƒƒ
  • PCM option
  • Master Control Center (Basic module + module CNC Program Versioning)
  • Special Option Dynamic Inspection Plans
Preparing CALYPSO Inspection Plans:
  • The CALYPSO inspection plans need to have a feature group called Dynamic. Normal measurements in-between remain possible in this way.
  • (Optional) Modifying presentation protocols (custom printouts): Add parameter "Sampling number" to protocol header. Then the repetition of a single measurement is possible during dynamism.
