Innovation SPECIAL Metrology 14 Topics
Production technology is currently in the midst of a paradigm shift. Casting processes are replacing complex fixtures or entire modules. The application possibilities of plastic injection technology are increasing; compound materials are also reflecting this evolution with materials and production methods. At the same time, production batches are becoming smaller, the number of variations higher and the production processes more complex. Measuring technology will accompany and support this transition. Measuring technology must ensure short measuring times, be flexible and usable in production. If a measuring machine is robust enough for the production environment, a company can save time and money. For many years, Carl Zeiss IMT has been laying the foundation for inline measuring technology with its MaxLine. We are now equipping our DuraMax with additional components and functionalities to enable it to better support shop floor measuring. For large parts, the high demand for wind turbines and in shipbuilding are leading to a call for increasing productivity and quality. Manufacturers use the large MMZ machines from Carl Zeiss to measure large parts with particularly narrow tolerances.
Innovation SPECIAL Metrology 13 Topics
More than 1,000 DuraMax measuring machines are reliable shop floor
companions in a wide range of fields around the world – robust, fast and
easy to use. From general measurements, as a replacement for traditional
equipment and single-purpose gauges up to gear wheel testers. PRISMO
and ACCURA with the performance package stand for productivity. The
new class of active probes and their range of applications is unparalleled.
O-INSPECT and METROTOM deliver informative measuring results for users
of injection-molded plastic and cast aluminum. And, of course, the ZEISS
software packages are prepped for the future. CALYPSO, CALIGO and PiWeb
cover practically everything from measuring machine operation to different
evaluation methods up to web reporting. | |
