| The New Victory Diavari FL Riflescope Line from Carl Zeiss Superior Optics for Long-Distance Shots | Downloads and Links | ||||
| Chester, 01/19/2010. CHESTER, Va., January 19, 2010 – Carl Zeiss introduces three high-performance riflescopes with state-of-the-art FL glass for superior image performance, maximum precision and absolute accuracy at long ranges - the Victory Diavari 4-16x50 T* FL, Victory Diavari 6-24x56 T* FL and Victory Diavari 6-24x72 T* FL. Carl Zeiss was the first manufacturer to incorporate FL glass in a riflescope with the introduction of the 6-24x72 T* FL in 2005. Originally designed for professional marksmen in European law enforcement and the military, the 6-24x72 T* FL is now a favorite among the most technically skilled long-range marksmen and competitive shooters in the United States. Its accuracy at extreme distances and breathtaking light gathering ability are legendary, and this newest Victory 6-24x72 T* FL model now features a ¼ MOA click adjustment value. And, with the addition of the new 4-16x50 T* FL and 6-24x56 T* FL models, there are even more options for those long-range hunters and shooters demanding the absolute finest in a riflescope. ZEISS FL riflescopes feature visibly higher resolution, no color fringing and images that are brighter and sharper to reveal the finest details at extremely long distances. This is a distinct advantage, especially if the target is small. The FL riflescopes are also the most compact long-range riflescopes in their class and deliver high power with as yet unmatched suppression of chromatic aberration. The LotuTec® water-repellant coating on all ZEISS Victory optics ensures that the image remains clear even in the rain, and the super smooth lens surface that this coating creates allows dirt, grease and grime to be wiped away with ease. The Victory FL riflescopes also feature innovative ballistic compensation options – the highly-acclaimed Rapid-Z® Ballistic Reticles and ZEISS Bullet Drop Compensator (BDC) “Hunting” and “Shooting” Turrets. These BDC Turrets can be set to a specific target distance by a simple twist of the indexed dial, and the Rapid-Z’s numbered hold-over lines correspond to the relevant shooting distances. Both are simple and extremely fast and accurate! Hunting and Shooting BDC Turrets Depending on the riflescope model, either “Hunting” or “Shooting” turrets are used. Both have lockable turrets. To make any adjustment, you simply lift up on the lockable spring-loaded knob, turn the knob in the desired direction to make the adjustment, then push it back down into place to lock the setting. No inadvertent movement is possible after that. Hunting Turret This turret, available on the 4-16x50 T* FLs with reticles #20 or #60, is a lower profile lockable knob with the ability to make one full revolution before stopping, and it provides all the range of adjustment commonly needed for hunting situations. It is designed for one revolution only, to prevent over-compensation of adjustment under stress. It can be reset, however, to ensure a full revolution can be used after sight-in. This turret has a 1/3 MOA click adjustment value with 60 clicks per revolution and a total elevation adjustment range of 59.4 inches at 100 yards. The 4-16x50 T* FL models delivered with the Hunting Turret (#20 and #60 reticles) come with metallic adhesive strips that can be applied to the turret housing which correspond to the drop of most common hunting calibers. Five different strips are provided which can be used out to 400 meters. Instructions on which strip to select are included with the riflescope but are also available on the ZEISS website. The 4-16x50 T* FL with Rapid-Z® 800 is delivered with conventional hunting-type, cap-protected windage and elevation adjustments. Shooting Turret A higher profile lockable knob to accommodate extended distances and related shooting styles, both the 6-24x56 T* FL and 6-24x72 T* FL models feature this turret. It will travel the entire adjustment range with no limitations on the number of revolutions and has a 1/4 MOA click adjustment value with 80 clicks per revolution and a total elevation of 57.6 inches at 100 yards. Note: All 6-24x models delivered with Shooting BDC Turret. The 4-16x50 models are delivered with Hunting Turret (#20 and #60 illuminated reticles) or conventional hunting type adjustment (Rapid-Z® 800 Reticle.)
