Over 9 million Carl Zeiss lenses manufactured to date
Production of Zeiss camera lenses keeps speeding up further. The tremendous success of new products on the market equipped with optics from Carl Zeiss has been the main reason for increasing numbers of Zeiss lenses in the hands of demanding users all over the globe recently.
Sooner than anticipated CLN can now announce the 9-millionth Carl Zeiss camera lens: It is a 10 x video zoom lens Vario-Sonnar 1,7–2,2/3,3–33 in the digital camcorder Sony DCR-TRV10. (These 9 million camera lenses count only those made under control of Carl Zeiss Oberkochen. Additional 10 million were made under control of Carl Zeiss Jena.) | |
