The jury praised the Nokia N90 cellular phone as “a first class multimedia phone with comprehensive photo, video, audio and messaging features”. Its Carl Zeiss lens was acknowledged by the jury for allowing “professional photography”.
The Award for the European High-End Video Projector of the Year went to Sony for their Qualia 004 home video projection system. Another Sony product, the HDR-FX1E camcorder, received the title European High-End Camcorder of the Year. Both systems are flagship models of the Sony product range, featuring lenses by Carl Zeiss.
