Over 1 million Carl Zeiss lenses manufactured for Sony
The cooperation of Sony and Carl Zeiss in the fields of both digital video cam-corders and digital still cameras proves highly successful.
Test reports in magazines continually show that the combination of Carl Zeiss high quality optics and advanced Sony image receiver technology offer convincing products for the upper end of today’s demanding consumer electronics market. With the ”Cyber-shot” line of miniaturized digital still cameras Sony has now entered the demanding still photography market.
In only four years the Sony and Zeiss cooperation has sold more than a million cameras with Carl Zeiss optics. The millionth Carl Zeiss lens is a 10 x video zoom lens Vario Sonnar 1,8/ 4,2– 42 in a Sony DCR-PC 100. | |
