The Autofocus Standard Lens for the Contax N1
The fastest lens for the new Contax N1 autofocus SLR, introduced at photokina 2000, is the Planar T* 1,4/50.
It offers the proven optic which American ”Popular Photography” in their February 1999 issue found to be the best 1,4/50 lens in any 35 mm SLR system, as the result of a large benchmark test. The Planar T* 1,4/50 incorporates special high refractive glass types to achieve remarkable performance even when used wide open. In tests conducted at the Zeiss applications labs the Planar T* 1,4/50 was capable to resolve 200 linepairs per millimeter on film (Agfapan APX 25, and Kodak Ektar 25 Professional).
The Planar T* 1,4/50 also qualifies for the smallest and lightest lens available for the Contax N1. It is particularly recommended as an all-purpose lens, for documentation, available-light-photography, travel, editorial, interiors without flash. | |
