For takes at extremely low light levels
With its unique set of super speed cine lenses Carl Zeiss opened the motion picture community new ways of creative expression. At an aperture of f/1.2 or T 1.3 takes became possible at extremely low light levels as well as takes with extremely shallow depth of field. Even at full aperture the optical performance is fascinating.
