New Edition of Zeiss Camera Lens ”Leporello”
Leporello is an Italian word which is used in the printing industry to name a certain folding style for printed matters. Maps are often folded this way - and so is the bi-annual poster size Zeiss camera lens list.
Zeiss has cultivated the habit to update it every photokina. The year 2000 edition of the leporello lists 139 different Zeiss lenses currently available with two more accidentally missing. Overleaf the leporello presents a ”family photo” of more than 110 Zeiss lenses, many of them with their respective cameras. However, not all family members made it to the photo studio in time…
As a significant move for the new millenium the Zeiss leporello will from now on express itself in four languages instead of only three: Japanese was added to German, English, and French.
The ”leporello” is available, free of charge, from photo@zeiss.de | |
