Function Test Links
The function test comprises the following criteria:
  1. Mechanical function
    (aperture ring, focusing mechanism, shutter)
  2. Diaphragm setting and function
  3. Image quality
  4. Flange focal distance
  5. Flash and insulation test
  6. Basic mechanical settings
  7. Optical cleanliness


To make sure your lens can be checked as quickly as possible...
  • Please send your lens well packaged directly to us in Oberkochen, along with our test cover letter (15 KB). We are only able to process inquiries accompanied by a completed test cover letter.
  • After your lens has been tested by our service engineers, you will immediately receive a test report informing you about the condition of the lens. If we feel that your lens is in need of repair, we will also send you a cost estimate.
  • For the test including the test report, you will be charged € 49.- plus shipping costs and VAT. If you place an order for a repair, the cost estimate will be free of charge.
  • After receiving our test report and cost estimate, you decide whether you wish to have your lens repaired.
