| | Colin Jones from the USA took first place with his picture of a typical Chinese alleyway. This shot captures the theme of the competition in a decidedly melancholy way. The dingy lighting reinforces this atmosphere and draws the viewer into the streets of Chongqing in China, where Jones currently lives. Jones is a keen rangefinder photographer. He started taking photographs from an early age and embarked on the study of photography to enhance his skills.
