In April 2006, we decided to take control of the marketing and distribution of the Zeiss Ikon rangefinder camera system and the ZF lenses for reflex cameras. A lot has already been achieved in the year that has since passed.
In the key markets of Europe, North America and Asia, we have succeeded in forming close cooperative ties with our distributors, which we are constantly maintaining and extending. The resulting new-found proximity to our customers is already paying off. The knowledge we have acquired will lead to even more impressive products in the future, which will be even more closely matched to our customers‘ wishes.
However, expanding Carl Zeiss‘ worldwide presence and product range is not the only thing we have achieved. To better cater to the new situation, we have also implemented changes to our structure and processes and boosted personnel levels worldwide. "With our new structure, we are ideally positioned for the tasks that lie ahead," says Dr Winfried Scherle, Vice President and General Manager of the Camera Lens Division at Carl Zeiss. "We constantly strive to make Carl Zeiss‘ top-quality products available worldwide and to develop our brand into a platform for photography enthusiasts all over the world," adds Helmut Heier, Head of Sales and Marketing for Camera Lenses.
Further optimization of the service and support processes will also
improve direct contact and close cooperation with our customers in the future. Our objective is to establish a means of addressing our customers‘ wishes, suggestions, feedback and criticism and following through with the optimum approach in each case. |
