First Footage Actually Shot with DigiPrimeŽ Lenses

Two American cinematographers were the first industry insiders who actually shot with the new Zeiss DigiPrime lenses and a Sony HDW-F900 CineAlta camera. This is what Michael Bravin, who took part in this project, has to say about his experience:

”We shot with the 7 mm, 14 mm and 40 mm... The lenses performed well above everyone’s high expectations. They have a great feel, they are very clean and crisp, fast (T 1.6), great contrast and rich blacks, no veiling glare observed, no flare observed in shooting directly into traffic and streetlights. We shot in very adverse German winter cold and wet conditions and traveled to the Bavarian Alps near the border with Austria all with excellent performance... Zeiss has produced a very very good product...”

The footage they produced will be shown on high-definition displays at the Band Pro/Zeiss booth no. L11068 in LVCC Central Hall during NAB 2002 in Las Vegas, April 8th through 11th. Frame grabs will be made available at: www.digiprimes.com
