Mobile telephones with an integrated camera function are becoming increasingly important. They are small, flexible and, primarily, always there when an opportunity for a good picture spontaneously arises.
A lens for a camera phone must be particularly small and sturdy. A camera phone lens from Carl Zeiss must also deliver outstanding image quality. For this reason, the Tessar and Vario Tessar (for zoom lenses) lens designs, which have been used successfully for decades, have already been adjusted to meet the special needs of camera phones.
