From standard fluorescence images to spectral records
The LSM 7 MP can be used with up to five non-descanned detectors in reflection or transmission mode. Further flexibility is provided by freely selectable, easy-to-change filters.
Simultaneous detection in the transmission and reflection modes delivers a higher signal yield than a single detector could supply, as two detectors collect more light than one could. Detecting the emission signal in both modes at a time permits the further minimization of the laser intensity used for excitation.
With the LSM 7 MP's "Channel Unmixing" function and the appropriate number of NDDs, you can unmix spectrally overlapping signals from the available channels.
In addition to the spectral imaging function you can use other contrasting methods. Configured with the Axio Examiner microscope stand and NDDs, the LSM 7 MP allows you to combine fluorescence images with differential interference contrast (DIC) or Dodt gradient contrast. | |
