| Specimen Space – Space for Any Specimen |
| |
The specimen space of Axio Scope can be expanded practically as much as you want.
The enormous scaleability of the specimen space is an important factor in the wide range of Axio Scope uses. In addition to the range of Z travel, the specimen space can be influenced in several places. Depending on the configuration, it can be varied continuously up to 110 mm.
 | |
| 1. | You can simply lower the stage carrier at the dovetail slideway.. |
| | |
| 2. | You can easily remove the condenser carrier, which is practical if you want to lower the stage to beyond the travel range. |
| | |
| 3. | You can gain space at the interface between the upper and lower stand parts by interposing a spacer. This comes in 30mm and 60mm versions. |
| | |
 |
Simply by adjusting the height of the stage carrier, the specimen space can be varied continuously for specimen thicknesses from 0 to 110 mm. |
| |
Where even more space is needed:
If you require even more space for unusually large specimens, e.g., in intravital microscopy, Axio Scope offers two Vario stands for your reflected-light and fluorescence applications. You can combine this with any of the upper parts to exactly suit your applications and requirements.
 |

There is virtually no limit to the size of the specimen space. The Vario stand columns permit you to observe objects as high as 380 mm such as this tree stump. |
