Tissue section from a traumatically-injured adult rat brain immunolabeled with antibodies against:
1) the NG2 proteoglycan (green), labeling oligodendroglial precursor cells and
2) glial fibrillary acidic protein (GFAP), a marker for CNS astrocytes. The image demonstrates the reactive phenotype of both astrocytes and oligodendroglial precursors following traumatic brain injury. Magnification is 60x.
