Depending on the application, there is a choice of three high-grade research microscopes from Carl Zeiss on which you can set up the LSM 7 LIVE:
Fitted with motorized optics for LSM, binocular or camera mode, all these microscope stands offer ease of operation and control by a mouse click, even with an incubation chamber.
Compact and long-live solid-state lasers also put thick or weakly fluorescing specimens in the right light, limiting tissue damage.
Laser lines of 405, 488, 532, 561 and 635 nm are available. You can select up to four of them. Because of a variable second port, these lines are also available for photomanipulation with the LSM DuoScan.
The "Fast Z scan on the fly" feature of the basic LSM 5 LIVE software will make speed dreams come true. Without accessories, it will capture stacks of up to 90 Z sections per second.
With the new, ultrafast Z drive solutions of the LSM 5 LIVE, this can be done repeatedly during long 3D time series. The Z focusing range of each of these optional components is 250 µm.
