| Beyond the in vitro analysis of molecular interactions, there is an ever-growing need for new approaches to study binding phenomena in living cells. The combination of FCS and confocal laser scanning microscopy, as supplied by ConfoCor 2/ LSM 510 combi, allows for the first time to apply FCS to the non-invasive study of molecular processes in living cells. For example, you can easily track the formation of oligomeric protein complexes involving fluorescently-tagged components of signal transduction pathways. |
