 | Brilliant: the Light Trap
Visibly more contrast - the patented light trap of the Axioplan 2 imaging minimizes the interference of stray light and extends the detection limit.

 | Eight ways to perfection:
With its eight filter positions, the newly designed turret provides eight ways to perfect fluorescence, combined with the benefit of the unlimited field of 25 mm. Of course, various combinations of filter sets, Optovar modules and other accessories are also available.

 | |
 | Fast and gentle: SoftStop:
The new Soft Stop function lets you change reflector modules and objectives within fractions of a second: speed that saves you time particularly in automated processes. In addition, a special algorithm prevents vibrations which would otherwise be unavoidable at speeds of such magnitude.
|
 | |
 | Perfect protection of your specimens: the high-speed shutter
Living objects make particularly high demands on microscopy. Speed and gentle handling are a must for brilliant images. This is precisely what the fast, motorized high-speed shutter guarantees: its exposure times of only a few microseconds are particularly beneficial for time-lapse exposures of fluorescent objects. Just leave the light source switched on and control the exposure time via the shutter: this prevents bleaching and biological damage of the specimen. The perfect solution for GFP images of living systems.
|
 | |
 | Minimized bleach effect: Camera Sync
Controlled directly by the camera, the high-speed shutter is synchronized with the exposure. The result: considerably quicker communication processes without detours via PC and data cables. A significant benefit especially for time-lapse exposures and specimens sensitive to phototoxic effects: the minimized radiation level extends the fluorescence capability and enables you to expose these specimens up to 20 times more frequently.

 | |
 | Correct excitation: FluoArc
Automatic signal balance for image recording: FluoArc permits you to control the intensity of the excitation light via the brightness of the light source and therefore to receive signals of the required intensity. In computer-controlled multichannel fluorescence, the light intensity changes automatically. Manually or digitally controlled: FluoArc always provides optimum signals for perfect results.
|
 | |
 | Push&Click: fast changeover
Flexibility also means being able to quickly change between various fluorescence types. The Push&Click cubes containing the filter sets are simply attached to the reflector turret with a push and a click. A matter of seconds.
|
 | |
 | Simple and intelligent: SmartContrast
Precise images require precise microscope settings. The light source, the brightness, the filters and the diaphragms must be re-adjusted after every change of the contrasting technique or objectives. Again and again. The newly developed SmartContrast feature and the motorized DIC condenser allow you to save your preferred settings. It couldn't be easier. For every objective, for every contrast. What does this really mean in practice? For example, the automatic change from 40x DIC to 40x FITC - at the push of a single button!

 | Clean Solution: the OilStop
Your microscope helps you to remember to apply oil or to remove it. The automatic stage lowering during a change of immersion leaves you ample space for manipulation.
|
 | |
 | MicroPilot: convenient operation, measurements, programming
MicroPilot is a multifunctional operating platform for the Zeiss Axioplan® 2 imaging microscope. MicroPilot makes operating procedures understandable, and considerably facilitates measurements and programming.

 | Two cameras, many benefits: the motorized universal phototube
The use of a video camera and a digital camera, the wavelength-dependent splitting of fluorescence and simultaneous documentation - this is all made possible with the new motorized tube for the connection of two cameras. The motorized universal phototube with its interface for software control, adjusting possibilities for an ideal image overlay and a beam splitter which can be replaced with a dichroic splitter lets you perform any documentation technique you require. And everything is fully automated.
|
 | |
 | Ready for more: the double video adapter
In addition to the binocular tube and the motorized universal phototube, the double video adapter provides you with a further optical port. Identical to the motorized phototube, the beam splitters are removable and interchangeable to allow wavelength selection. This means you can configure exactly the system you require for your application.

 | Digital intelligence: photography without film
The AxioCam HR offers digital photography at its best. Capture your image instantly and at the highest resolution. The scaleable resolution of up to 3900 x 3090 pixels (without interpolation) makes your image files ideal for publications or as enclosures to your records, notes, or examination reports. AxioCam HR is the perfect choice for the digital documentation of brightfield and DIC images, and also performs exceptionally well for single and multichannel fluorescence imaging.
Perfectly matched: AxioCam HR, AxioVision and Axioplan 2 imaging provide an unrivalled, complete digital imaging platform.
