Alignment Systems
Only precise targeting ensures the first hit
Alignment_Systems
High probability of landing the first shot is extremely important to modern military planning. This involves aligning the targeting instruments precisely to the weapon. Carl Zeiss Optronics has developed two target line inspection programs to ensure that this happens. The universal system was developed to inspect alignment to the shot path. It permits alignment of various weapons systems and calibers to a remote target or a target wall; a manually controlled video system is available for higher calibers. The precision special alignment system was developed specifically for the Leopard 2, but can be used with any other weapons system. This system permits remote target and collimator adjustment.
