| U.S.A. selects Eyesafe Laser Rangefinder from Carl Zeiss Optronics GmbH |

The U.S. Marine Corps (USMC), Ouantico, VA has selected a 1 Hz eyesafe laser rangefinder from the company Carl Zeiss Opronics GmbH Germany, for the MIA1 Tank upgrade program.
After extensive testing in the USA and the official RFP in 2005, the contract was signed for initial delivery of 100 units, with an option of up to 1000 units.
The contract volume is in the two digit US $ millions with delivery beginning in March 2007.
With this contract award, Carl Zeiss Optronics GmbH establishes itself as a technological leader of high-quality optronic systems in the USA. | |
