The higher the hit probability, the greater the combat value of a weapon. This can only be achieved by precise basic alignment of the weapon relative to the targeting optics.
With Video Boresight, Carl Zeiss Optronics offers a state-of-the-art system for performing and checking the basic alignment of weapons. In combination with the successful SKS calibre bar, it ensures an accuracy of 0.1 mrad. Different lenses attached to the objective are used for the alignment at short range.
Video Boresight permits the tracking of slowly moving and flying targets. The image displayed on a TFT monitor can be compared, for example, with the camera image of a radar platform. The TFT monitor and control unit can be used directly on the weapon, in turrets or control stations. | |
