Important data right in front of your eyes increases the chances of success
A pilot is often required to make decisions and react within a fraction of a second while performing his mission. Ideally, he and his co-pilot should have the flight and weapons data as fixed symbols and variable data in front of their eyes at all times. This is made possible by a Head Mounted Display (HMD) that projects the data onto the visor of the pilot’s helmet. A key feature here is a tracking function which measures helmet position and attitude. It helps the pilot to track, aim and fire external weapon systems. This improves reaction capabilities – and the chances of successfully completing the mission.
