| | EBSD is an important tool for materials characterisation showing the crystal structure and the texture of polycrystalline materials in the form of crystal orientation maps (COM). The SUPRA™ with the large analytical chamber, the high tilt eucentric stage and the high beam current of the GEMINI® column is ideally suited to perform EBSD. All SUPRA™ stages offer high stage tilt needed for EBSD analysis with the EBSD detector on the left of the chamber normal to the tilt axis. The EDX detector is positioned above the EBSD detector at 35° take-off angle to allow simultaneous data collection.
