Christian Dandyk is a professional photographer of a new era. He uses the new Batis lenses from ZEISS and the mirrorless Sony α7 series. He is fascinated by interpreting the world around him in images. When taking pictures of landscapes, he gladly risks a cold waiting for the right moment. For him, it's all about the result – in the form of a beautiful picture: "I don't really want to spend a lot of time thinking about my tools. I want to use them and get the most out of them. For my photos." See for yourself his impressive photos from Rügen.
Michael Semaan lives in Laguna Beach, California. Inspired by his grandfather he started with a camera on loan at the age of 14. Today he is a well-known Fine Art photographer with a passion for capturing meditative landscapes on his trips throughout the world. In the past he used several DSLR cameras “but my dream is having one system to meet all of my needs at no loss of image quality, capability, or performance”. He tried the new Batis lenses with the Alpha 7 II and was “blown away” by their image quality. His verdict on the digital focus scale on the lens barrel: “Absolutely ingenious!” Semaan believes that the perfect match of ZEISS Batis lenses and Sony alpha fullframe mirrorless cameras are what he has been searching for for a long time. Take a look at the photos from his latest model shoot in Hawaii.
Greg Watermann’s specialty is live concerts with exclusive access. Standing on stage in front of 20,000 people with the artist's perspective makes photographs very special for him. “I'm addicted to capturing the raw energy I see on stage and want to share that with the fans!” He began professionally in New York City in the 80's, shooting portraits and fashion. After he moved to Los Angeles he started documenting music - doing principle photography for System Of A Down, Linkin Park, and Toby Keith. The past four years he has been Pitbull's photo/videographer covering every aspect of his life. Greg exclusively uses ZEISS lenses because their fast primes are perfect for low available light. He specifically loves the new Batis lenses. "They show no chromatic aberration, even when shooting into the sun. I only focus manually so I very much appreciate the feel and dampening of the focus ring."
"I photographed actress Kassandra Kanaar recently in Hollywood using the new Batis lenses on a Sony a7R. The optical performance was exceptional. Beautiful skin texture, obviously sharp, no chromatic aberration, and wonderful to focus manually. The Image Stabilization is amazing and the lenses are perfectly balanced on the camera. All images shot handheld and wide open. Hair/makeup by Roxxi Dott. Thank you to ZEISS Lens Ambassador Jared Abrams for filming the behind-the-scenes footage."
