Choose between three stand versions of this robust inverted system – from economical entry level to top-end performance, including complete motorization. The entry-level model will ensure excellent imaging results, while the next level additionally offers coded and motorized components. Finally, the fully motorized stand expands the performance capability by motorized focusing (z-control) and automatic component recognition.
Furthermore, the motorized Axio Observer stand features a novel operating concept. Use the touchscreen for convenient input and monitoring, operating the entire microscope via the TFT display with its concise, clearly organised menu structure. Assign the pushbuttons to suit your requirements and create your personalized user settings. Run even complex workflows from your TFT touchscreen.
The beam path optics with apochromatic correction give your images an unprecedented uniform brilliance. Axio Observer offers all relevant methods in transmitted and reflected light: brightfield, darkfield, polarisation and fluorescence in reflected light, as well as innovative contrast methods such as C-DIC (circular DIC), a polarization technique perfect for contrasting oriented structures.
AxioVision, the sophisticated image acquisition and analysis software, offers numerous modules for material microscopy, including for example TIC (total interference contrast), which enables accurate height and thickness measurements of object structures.

Aerospace Industry
In the Aerospace industry you are focused on enhancing performance of materials and technology while just as consistently tackling energy efficiency and safety issues. Light microscopy investigations are of prime importance to you in research and development of new materials such as novel types of composites. more
Automotive Industry
In the Automotive industry, you face ever-increasing demands in terms of safety and eco friendliness.
Advanced materials are being developed, stringent quality control has to be obeyed and failure analysis has to be carried out. As a result, microscopy applications in this sector are plentiful and varied. more
Steel Industry
Today’s standards are frequently based on automated image analysis methods, and measurements are performed with the help of specialized software modules. This applies to parameters like for example Non-metallic Inclusions in steel (NMI) and grain size analysis, factors which determine the hardness, machinability and strength of steel. State-of-the art dedicated microscope systems specifically support standard-compliant measurements. more
Metals
A flexible light microscope is an indispensable feature of every metallography lab, whether you develop novel alloy materials or perform quality control to ensure the purity of steel. more
Materialography
Many materialographical analysis methods are defined by norms and standards. This applies for example to the determination of Non-metallic Inclusions in steel (NMI) or the analysis of grain sizes. In order to determine such parameters in accordance with international standards, you need a microscope system equipped with dedicated software modules. more
