Zeiss forum workflow

Streamline your workflow

Efficiency is key in today`s eye care facilities. FORUM greatly simplifies overall clinical workflow in a number of ways.

Save time
With FORUM, paper handling and manual patient demographic data registration at every instrument are a thing of the past. Communication is fully digital and paperless. Patient demographics are sent to the instrument via the worklist with a single mouse click. All exam data are centrally stored in the FORUM Archive and can be quickly accessed anytime with the FORUM Viewer - in your practice or from remote sites.

Save space
A completely paperless workflow environment lets you save on storage space and filing cabinets. It also does away with the hassle of manually searching for archived documents.

Save costs
Your annual costs for printouts, ink and for maintaining paper archives and printers are greatly reduced, if not eliminated altogether.

GPA with Dual Baseline

GPA with Dual Baseline

Mean Deviation trend analysis

Mean Deviation trend analysis

FORUM Glaucoma Workplace 2.0

See the solution from every angle

Doctors want the ability to analyze HFA™ data in their office – and now, with the FORUM Glaucoma Workplace from ZEISS, they have it. The FORUM Glaucoma Workplace uses the same STATPAC engine as the HFA. For the first time, you can change the baselines for Guided Progression Analyses (GPA) and generate HFA reports from Mac or PC right in your practice. In addition, GPA with Dual Baselines helps to assess changes in the rate of progression. FORUM Glaucoma Workplace can now also display the trend analysis based on the mean deviation (MD).

Doctors also want greater integration of HFA and CIRRUS™ analysis data in a single report. Here, too, the FORUM Glaucoma Workplace delivers. RNFL segmental deviation maps and pattern deviation results from HFA visual fields are displayed in a combined report using a methodology published by Garway-Heath et al**.

24-2 and RNFL Combined Report

24-2 and RNFL Combined Report

Decide with confidence
If necessary, you can adjust GPA parameters by conveniently changing the
baseline, or excluding any outliers.
The FORUM Glaucoma Workplace can automatically combine relevant
information from HFA, CIRRUS, and fundus images. The result is a concise
report that shows the correlation between structural and functional data to
support rapid glaucoma assessments.

Key benefits

  • Complete HFA analysis within the FORUM Viewer incl. kinetic and suprathreshold tests
  • Combines structure and function information from the CIRRUS and
    HFA in one report
  • Enables interactive adjustment of GPA parameters including Dual
    Baselines and MD trend analysis
  • Shows evolution of the GPA triangle plots animated over time (“cine-mode”)
Provides fast access to all glaucoma-related data
  • Improves patient flow and education

Kinetic tests in FORUM Glaucoma Workplace

Kinetic tests in FORUM Glaucoma Workplace

Streamline your workflow
The FORUM Glaucoma Workplace, easily allows you to review and generate HFA reports directly in the FORUM Viewer. It completely supports all types of HFA visual field testing, including kinetic and suprathresold tests.

FORUM Glaucoma Workplace gives you on-demand access to visual fields, OCT scans, fundus images, and structure and function results wherever you are, whenever you want – including your office, at a workstation, or in the examination lanes.

It further streamlines your glaucoma assessments for more efficient patient flow.

GPA and Combined Reports save you time and simplify patient consultations, enhancing the patient education experience and potentially improving compliance.

FORUM LINK Tools

Connecting non-DICOM instruments to efficient data management flow

Your challenge
More and more eye care practices are converting to digital data management. Yet the integration and documentation of data from many diagnostic instruments which can not be connected to the network or which do not comply to the DICOM standard continues to be very cumbersome. Until now.

Our FORUM solution
With the FORUM LINK Tools from ZEISS, instruments from other manufacturers which do not have a DICOM or network interface can now also be seamlessly integrated into the enhanced FORUM data management workflow.

FORUM LINK net
With this application, images or reports from instruments without DICOM interface can be transferred and associated to the correct patient record in FORUM, where they are stored as DICOM files. Patient demographics do not have to be keyed in, but rather can be selected from worklists created in FORUM.

FORUM LINK port
This application lets you link non-networked instruments to FORUM. The tool captures data from the instrument’s parallel printer port, converts them into DICOM files and transfers these files to FORUM. As with FORUM LINK net, patient demographics can be selected from worklists created in FORUM.

Image Forum Link Tool 2

FORUM LINK net and FORUM LINK port convert data from non-DICOM and non-networked instruments into a DICOM-compatible format. The captured images and examination reports are then forwarded to the respective FORUM patient record with just two mouse clicks*.

FORUM ASSIST match*

FORUM ASSIST match Version 1.4

Fast identification of patient record inconsistencies

Your challenge
When migrating legacy data from different diagnostic instruments to the data management environment of FORUM, patient record inconsistencies such as duplicate files may occur. Irregularities such as alternate name spellings or patient IDs should be quickly removed and duplicate records merged. In the first step, the inconsistencies need to be found.

Our FORUM solution
ZEISS FORUM ASSIST match is a highly efficient software tool designed to quickly find duplicate patient records stored in the FORUM Archive. It can save practices a tremendous amount of time, effort and costs in manually locating and eliminating these types of irregularities. After ZEISS FORUM ASSIST match has identified the duplicate records, they can be quickly and easily merged.

Key benefits

  • Rapid identification of inconsistent patient records with thorough and accurate data scans in FORUM
  • Simple merging of multiple patient records and duplicates, displayed in an easy-to-understand overview
  • Easy migration of instrument legacy data through definition of individual search criteria
