Chile's biggest planetarium is run by the University of Santiago and located on the campus. Accordingly, its prime goals are education and the fostering of culture on an innovative, ambitious and yet entertaining level. The domed auditorium with its excellent audiovisual equipment provides an attractive ambience not only for astronomical and space shows but also for conferences, seminars and special events.
End of 2013 an eight-channel VELVET fulldome system from ZEISS was added.
