The Isle of Skye is a true treasure of nature. The region is crowded with tourists in summer. During wintertime, however, there are hardly any visitors. Therefore, Florian Roost decided to fly up to the north of Scotland with the aim of discovering beauty and showing a different face of the Isle of Skye.
Nicolai Noah Bannert is a ZEISS newcomer who got the opportunity to test the ZEISS Batis lenses. When it comes to photography, he always just used his smartphone camera and was satisfied with those results – until now. He wrote an honest and personal review of discovering the beauty of New York City with the Batis lenses and how they changed his view of taking photos.
A good documentary photographer looks for the story behind that precise moment when they press the shutter and thus discover beauty. For Ilan Derech, it’s all about travelling, meeting lots of new people, tasting delicious food and even having a laugh or a cry with a stranger. In order to discover and capture the beauty behind each shoot, documentary photography requires very specific equipment.
