Carl Zeiss Meditec generated revenue of €369.7m in the first three months of fiscal year 2019/20, which corresponds to an increase of 14.2% (adjusted for currency effects: +12.7%) compared with the prior-year period (prior year: €323.6m). Both strategic business units achieved significant increases in revenue. Earnings before interest and taxes (EBIT) rose as a result of the increase in revenue, to €56.8m (prior year: €48.1m). The EBIT margin increased further, to 15.4% (prior year: 14.9%).

ZEISS today introduced the ZEISS Crossbeam Laser – a new family of site-specific focused ion beam scanning electron microscope (FIB-SEM) solutions that accelerate package failure analysis and process optimization for advanced semiconductor packages. Integrating a femtosecond laser for speed, a gallium ion (Ga+) beam for accuracy, and SEM for nanoscale-resolution imaging, the ZEISS Crossbeam Laser family provides package engineers and failure analysts with the fastest cross-section solution at the highest imaging performance, while providing minimal sample damage.

New features have been added to the ZEISS Hunting app to make day-to-day hunting activities with friends even easier. The free app allows users to create a profile and connect with their friends. Starting with version 3.3, users are now able to quickly share entries from their hunting diary, ballistics and equipment with friends or custom groups. All entries appear well-arranged in the newsfeed and can be commented or liked.

Revenue grew by 11 percent, reaching 6.428 billion euros (previous year: 5.817 billion euros). Adjusted for currency and acquisition effects (like-for-like), revenue rose by 8 percent.

In fiscal year 2018/19, Carl Zeiss Meditec generated revenue of €1,459.3m, resulting in an increase of 13.9% (adjusted for currency effects: +11.7%) compared with the same period of the prior year (prior year: €1,280.9m). Earnings before interest and taxes (EBIT) rose significantly, to €264.7m (prior year: €197.1m). The EBIT margin was 18.1% (prior year: 15.4%).

The ZEISS Group continued its growth trajectory, with revenue and earnings reaching new heights in fiscal year 2018/19, which ended 30 September 2019. Revenue grew by 11 percent, reaching 6.428 billion euros (previous year: 5.817 billion euros). Adjusted for currency and consolidation effects , revenue rose by 8 percent.
