The Manufacturing Execution System (MES) as a Central Element of the Digitalisation Strategy

Deutscher Zukunftspreis 2020: Two ZEISS Teams Make Shortlist

The Office of the Federal President announced today in the Hall of Fame at Munich's German Museum the nominations for the Deutscher Zukunftspreis. ZEISS is the first-ever company to have two teams nominated for the award.
Both nominated developments are closely linked to people's everyday lives and represent a kind of digitalization that promotes economic and social progress in equal measure.

ZEISS Medical Technology Nominated for Deutscher Zukunftspreis 2020

ZEISS experts Dr.-Ing. Michelangelo Masini and Frank Seitzinger represent the ZEISS team and, together with Prof. Dr. med. Andreas Raabe from the Swiss Inselspital (University Hospital of Bern), have been nominated for the Deutscher Zukunftspreis 2020 (The Federal President's Award for Innovation and Technology). Their project: The Robotic Visualization System® – aka the KINEVO® 900 from ZEISS – which improves the efficiency and effectiveness of surgical procedures.

The Office of the Federal President today announced the nominees for the Deutscher Zukunftspreis 2020 (German Future Prize 2020) in the Ehrensaal of the Deutsches Museum in Munich. The circle of the best - the three projects for the final round of the German President's Award for Technology and Innovation - includes a team of experts from TRUMPF, ZEISS and Fraunhofer IOF: With their project "EUV Lithography - New Light for the Digital Age".

The ZEISS Group continued its growth trajectory, with revenue and earnings reaching new heights in fiscal year 2018/19, which ended 30 September 2019. Revenue grew by 11 percent, reaching 6.428 billion euros (previous year: 5.817 billion euros). Adjusted for currency and consolidation effects, revenue rose by 8 percent.
