Prof. Mario Romano is the Head of the Ophthalmology Unit at the Humanitas Gavazzeni Hospital in Bergamo, Italy. He completed his training with a fellowship in vitreoretinal surgery at Royal Liverpool University Hospital, UK and a fellowship in vitreoretinal disease research at MEEI, Harvard Medical School in Boston, USA. He also holds a PhD in Molecular Pharmacology and Oncology.

Dr. Angel López Castro is a renowned eye surgeon and medical director at LASERVISIÓN in Madrid. He is a member of the Madrid College of Doctors, obtained his qualification in Ophthalmology from the Hospital Clínico San Carlos in Madrid, Universidad Complutense in 1992. Dr López Castro has founded LASERVISIÓN a well-established Cataract and Refractive practice in Madrid.
