Dr. Ludwin Monz

Head of the Medical Technology business group, President & CEO of Carl Zeiss Meditec AG

Area of responsibility

As a Member of the Executive Board of Carl Zeiss AG, Ludwin Monz heads the Medical Technology segment. In addition, he is the Member of the Executive Board of the ZEISS Group responsible for Corporate Quality Management and Research & Technology, and oversees the Japan, Spain, France and Turkey sales regions. He is also President & CEO of Carl Zeiss Meditec AG. In addition to his offices as Chairman and Member of the Supervisory Boards of ZEISS companies, he is Member of the Strategy Board of the Henley Business School and Member of the University Council of Friedrich Schiller University in Jena. Dr. Monz constantly works on increasing the company's competitiveness by focusing sharply on innovation and the customer. Right now, the company's digital strategy is particularly important to him.
