Join us on November 07 - 08, 2020 for the International Low Energy X-ray IORT User Meeting held at Paracelsus Medical University of Salzburg. It is our pleasure to invite you to the historical city of Mozart to address topics of intraoperative radiotherapy.

Both chairs – Dr. Elena Sperk from the Mannheim Medical Faculty at University of Heidelberg, Germany and Prof. William Small from the Loyola University Medical Center in Chicago are looking forward to welcoming you at ILEXIUM. ILEXIUM is officially sponsored by ZEISS.

Connect with your international peers already the day before ILEXIUM starts and enjoy the Opening Evening on Friday November 06, 2020 at the Salzburg residence where Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart personally performed regularly for the Regent.

Dinner reservations are exclusively for meeting attendees and can be requested during the registration process.

For the 11th ISIORT Conference which also takes place at the Paracelsus Medical University of Salzburg, Austria, a separate registration is necessary at the ISIORT conference page. The registration fee has to be covered individually.

Abstract submission for ILEXIUM

You are kindly invited to submit potential titles for proffered papers which will be presented during the meeting. Topics include advancements, clinical, biological and physics aspects as well as the different applications of IORT.

Each lecture will be 10 minutes long, followed by 2 minutes of questions.

Abstract submission will take place through a separate abstract submission portal. You will receive the respective link after your successful registration for ILEXIUM.

Abstract format guidelines

  • No phone numbers, hyperlinks, keyword lists or figures.
  • Maximum of 500 words (not including title and authors). 
  • Paragraph breaks between title, author & institute, abstract body, funding and references. 
  • Include - background, brief methods, results and conclusion.
  • Arial, 11-point, black font. 
  • Single spacing, one-inch margins, left justified. 
  • For Greek and scientific symbols, please use the symbol option under the insert tab in Microsoft Word (or equivalent option in other applications).
  • PDF document is required. Word document is not recommended.

Abstract submission deadline: August 31, 2020.

All submitted abstracts will be reviewed and selected by a specific Scientific Committee for oral or poster presentation.

Practical hands-on course on cadaver

The practical hands-on course on cadaver will no longer be offered following ILEXIUM due to the event date change to November.
