ZEISS EyeMag Medical Loupes

Due to the current worldwide corona pandemic, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) recommends disinfecting surfaces with a disinfectant solution of at least 70 % alcohol1.

ZEISS hereby confirms that, based on experience, the surface of our EyeMag medical loupes can be disinfected with such solution. It cannot be excluded that surfaces can become dull or matt.

However, this does not affect the performance characteristics of the systems or pose a risk to the patient or user.

Cleaning and disinfection guidelines

  • To clean soiled glass surfaces, use the cleaning cloth supplied.
  • Clean your medical loupes with standard cleaning agents after each use.

Warning: Risk of infection due to surface parts becoming loose and falling off. Do not use aggressive solvents or sharp and grinding cleaning agents as this may cause particles to be released from the surface.

Caution: Incompatibility with cleaning agents! To avoid allergic reactions, please note the information provided by the manufacturer of the cleaning agent.
Note: The medical loupes are not water-proof! The ingress of liquid may damage the medical loupes! Never clean the medical loupes in an ultrasonic bath.

  • Disinfection: We recommend using an alcoholic disinfectant for the disinfection of your medical loupes. Apply the disinfectant in accordance with the manufacturer’s instruction.
