ZEISS Training Lab

The ZEISS Training Lab is an innovative, private training concept allowing spine surgeons to:

  • practice spine surgery while operating with a surgical microscope.
  • discover the enhanced benefits of microsurgery for patients and surgeons alike.
  • simulate intraoperative complications such as injury to the dura.

The concept of the ZEISS Training Lab is based on private and exclusive training sessions. Each session is hosted by a renowned spine surgeon who guides participants through a simulated surgery and shares knowledge on minimally invasive spine surgery.

During the training sessions, the participants work with the RealSpine simulator – an artificial model replicating the spine area with soft tissue, realistic anatomical structures and an intraoperative bleeding system.
