    Integrated Video Components

    The integrated video for surgical microscopes is the most convenient way to generate images for information, documentation, teaching and presentation purposes. Due to the built-in camera with factory-aligned optics, the video also works well out of the box. Enjoy the beauty and ergonomic advantages of the surgical microscope without any impairment by cables or bulky video adapters. The integrated control allows management of the video together with the device which means that it is streamlined with the surgical workflow. 

    HD Video (1080p)

    ZEISS OPMI PENTERO 800 also supports a completely integrated HD video camera.

    • Focused and sharp images with the integrated 3 chip HD camera (1080p).
    • Video images with optimized definition and color rendition for high-end surgical imaging due to the camera developed for ZEISS OPMI PENTERO 800.
    • The integrated HD Recorder (1080p) can be operated via the touchscreen user interface, the foot control panel or the handgrip of the surgical microscope. 
    • Patient names can be easily assigned to video data. 
    • The videos and still images are stored on an integrated hard disk. They can also be transferred directly to a USB storage media or to a shared directory in the Local Area Network (LAN Storage). 
    • Storage space for large HD videos can be saved by using the local editing function. The videos can be easily and quickly edited on the touchscreen of the surgical microscope. 
    • To support the OR staff with surgical microscope images, the integrated 22” monitor has a wide viewing angle and can be positioned very flexibly. The OR team can observe the procedure in sharp and true-color images. 
    • The images of the integrated video can be connected to secondary monitors or other video equipment in the OR using standard video interfaces.

    External Video Components

    To support customer specific requirements, external components can be mounted to the surgical microscope. The external attachment via standard optical and mechanical interfaces increases the flexibility and retrofitability of devices.

    ZEISS OPMI PENTERO 800 can now be equipped with one of the following intraoperative fluorescence options:

    • INFRARED 800 for P&R application – for confirming vessel patency during P&R cases
    • INFRARED 800 – complete functionality for intraoperative assessment of blood flow & vessel patency
    • BLUE 400 – for supporting intraoperative visualization of fluorescent tumor tissue
    • YELLOW 560 – for research activities & visual assessment of intraoperative blood flow

    ZEISS INFRARED 800 for ZEISS OPMI PENTERO 800 supports the assessment of vessel patency following vessel anastomosis ensuring vascularization of the transplanted tissue flap – typically performed during free-flap and perforator-flap transplants.

    YELLOW 560 intraoperative Fluorescence

    YELLOW 560 from ZEISS

    ZEISS YELLOW 560 visualizes fluorescent dyes in the wavelength range from 540 to 690 nm for additional fields of application. It is the first fluorescence module from ZEISS highlighting fluorescein-stained structures while viewing non-stained tissue in color.

    BLUE 400 supports intraoperative identification of high-grade gliomas. It is the first fully microscope-integrated fluorescence module designed as a result of a successfully conducted Phase III multi-center study1.

    Stereo Co-observation

    Stereo Co-observation Tube

    The stereo co-observation tube remains in a fixed position when you move the OPMI head forward or backward. It enables a second person to see the surgical field at the same magnification level what is particulary well suited for sterile assistants or training.

    Drapes with VisionGuard Lens

    Drapes from ZEISS are manufactured with VisionGuard®, a unique, optical lens that works with the surgical microscope’s objective like a single optical unit to ensure optical clarity. The lens can be replaced with a new sterile lens during surgery without compromising sterility.

    Whether using the handgrip or the mouth switch, the free-floating suspension enables smooth maneuverability and effortless repositioning and fine-balancing.
