Real ROIs

The Realtime Electronics ensures that the laser output, with single-pixel accuracy, reaches only the defined ROI. Areas outside the ROI receive no light and thus remain unaffected by photobleaching.

Image acquisition that is kind to your specimens

The same procedure is also effective during image acquisition. The specimen is illuminated only when images are actually being acquired. This defuses the critical reversal phase of the scanner, in which the laser beam temporarily dwells on a specimen spot.

Targeted bleaching and uncaging

Regions of Interest can also be defined for targeted bleaching or for uncaging caged substances by means of photochemical processes. These operations will then act only on the defined specimen regions.
