  • Introduction

    ZEISS powerdome SPACEGATE is a multi-channel digital projection system for powerdome Sky Theaters with domes from 6 to 12 m (20 to 40 ft) in diameter. Projection is from near the dome center, with the center proper being reserved for the optical-mechanical planetarium projector.

    SPACEGATE is available in two versions: DUO, for two-channel projection onto small domes, and QUINTO, with five channels for larger and more demanding installations.

    Without any problems, SPACEGATE can be integrated into existing planetarium installations, no matter which projector make is installed. With the ZEISS SKYMASTER ZKP 4 small-size planetarium, SPACEGATE even shares the control system.

    ZEISS powerdome SPACEGATE comes equipped with adequate hardware and software for the easy handling of all media. A master computer with integrated sound application conducts the PC cluster with high-performance graphics. Images are rendered in real time. Shows can be assembled via a time line with any command mode, similarly as with digital sound and video editing stations.
