From 30 January to 3 February 2017 we welcomed around 40 dealers from all over the world to tell them about the innovations from ZEISS Spectroscopy for the food and agriculture industry. At this sales training event, the ZEISS systems Corona extreme and Corona process and their applications for spectroscopic analysis in the agriculture and food industries were just some of the highlights. In addition to specialist talks, workshops were also run to train our dealers on any maintenance work. A cultural framework program replete with visits to Weimar, the Planetarium and the Optical Museum in Jena nicely rounded off the week-long training event.

From 7th to 8th July 2016 Shanghai Micro-Vision Technology Ltd. organized a very successful meeting of tobacco producers in Shanghai. On this occasion ZEISS introduced its NIR spectrometer system ARMOR – a solution with the aim to achieve consistent product quality while ensuring the whole tobacco manufacturing process is fully documented. During the seminar the numerous participants received a comprehensive overview of the possibility of on-line NIR measurement as standard equipment for users from different product lines in the whole tobacco industry.
On the tour with RMI Analytics ZEISS presented its Corona extreme in combination with the latest calibration from TQC for Barley, Malt, and green malt. After showing the first calibrations for the brewing industry 11 years ago, the models show an outstanding precision and stability. The system can be operated in the laboratory, mobile or even in-line and proved its reliability during the tour.
