Prediction Engines

  • Introduction

    Determination of constituentsis based on calibration models, which identify measurement values from recorded spectra. That’s why InProcess supports runtime libraries – so-called prediction engines – of different producers. Prediction engines are essential for execution of calibration models and need to be licensed separately.

    InProcess supports the prediction engines of the providers CAMO (UnscramblerXEngine), Sensologic (ADK Runtime), Thermo Fischer Scientific (GRAMS) and Unity Scientific (UCal Runtime for ZEISS).

    The prediction engine GRAMS is already included in InProcess software and doesn’t require a license. GRAMS models therefore can be directly used in InProcess.

    All further prediction engines require a license and need to be installed.

    For the simulation and analysis of optical reflectance and/or transmittance spectra the software SCOUT (W.Theiss Hard- and Software) is used within InProcess. SCOUT typically determines thicknesses of films or film stacks.
