  • Introduction

    The CGS UV-NIR grating spectrometer is designed for sophisticated measurement tasks and is suitable for numerous applications. Its compactness and the insensitivity to external influences allows it to be directly integrated into at-line, on-line and in-line inspection processes. The variable detector options (CCD or PDA) measure with optimum spectral efficiency to ensure high quality results.

    Depending of the application, different variations are available:

    • Slit (as optical entrance) can be customized on request
    • Ready-to-use electronics
    • Blazed, flat-field grating
    • Spherical mirror for aberration reduction
    • Back-thinned CCD or PDA attached to the aluminium housing

    • Blazed, flat-field grating for light dispersion and imaging
    • Comprises an imaging grating, optical port and an uncooled back-thinned detector (CCD) or Si Photodiode array (PDA)
    • Electric shutter function that enable minimum integration times and ensure high sensitivity (CCD)
    • Extremely low noise resulting in high S/N even at low light levels (PDA) 
    • Spectral pixel pitch of 0.4 nm/pixel (CCD) and 0.7 nm/pixel (PDA)
    • Spectral resolution performance better than 3 nm according the Rayleigh criterion
    • Precision SMA fiber connector with fixed entrance slit (available in various width) allow precise alignment of core fibers
    • All optical components attached to an aluminium housing
