  • Introduction

    The MMS spectrometer family delivers compact, robust measurement instruments. The spectrometer is equipped with a high performance detector for portable, process and OEM applications. The unique design provides permanent calibration and thermal stability to guarantee accurate and reliable measurements simultaneously for UV and NIR. The absence of any moving parts guarantees long lifetime and high durability.

  • Design
    • Equipped with the silicon photo diode array S3904-256Q from Hamamatsu (only the MMS 1 NIR enhanced spectrometer utilized with the S8381-256Q from Hamamatsu to achieve higher NIR sensitivity)
    • Arrays are packed in a shorter and special housing which results in a very small split-off angle
    • Diode array has been directly coated with a dielectric cut-off filter
    • Holographic blazed, flat field gratings (master grating has its efficiency maximum at approx. 220 nm)
    • Fixed grating, optimally protected against dust and gases
    • Central body contains a glass element similar to a lens (MMS 1)
    • Solid glass element has been replaced by hollow shell, attached to grating and detector (in UV sensitive modules)
    • Fiber-bundle cross-section converter optimizes the light sensitivity
    • Option of modifying fiber length and input design
    • Solarization resistant fiber to avoid transmission loss in the deep UV and to prevent fiber damage
