Spectrometer Modules

For the UV to the NIR wavelength range

  • Introduction

Spectrometers modules for industrial use in the UV-NIR wavelength range

In the past few years Carl Zeiss has developed a large number of different spectrometer modules for different wavelength range and requirements.

Select your spectrometer for the wavelength range of your application!

  • UV - Ultraviolet

Ultraviolet radiation is not visible to the human eye. Its wavelength is shorter than that of visible light. Ultraviolet radiation is divided into the following ranges:

    Near UV (UV-A) 380 - 315 nm
    Middle UV (UV-B) 315 - 280 nm
    FAR UV (UV-C) 280 - 200 nm
    Vacuum UV (UV-C) 200 - 100 nm

  • VIS - Visible Light

    VIs - Visible Light

The visible area is the range of electromagnetic radiation that is visible to the human eye. It covers the wavelength spectrum between 380 nm and 780 nm. Light features different wavelengths. A prism or optical grating permits “multicolor” light to be split into monocolor light components known as spectral colors.

    Violet 380 - 420 nm
    Blue 420 - 490 nm
    Green 490 - 575 nm
    Yellow 575 - 585 nm
    Orange 585 - 650 nm
    Red 650 - 780 nm

  • NIR - Near Infrared

Near infrared radiation (NIR) is not visible to the human eye. Its wavelength is longer than that of visible light. NIR features a shorter wavelength range than infrared radiation. Infrared radiation is divided into the following ranges:

    Near Infrared (IR-A) 780 - 1400 nm
    Near Infrared (IR-B) 1400 - 3000 nm
    Middle Infrared (MIR-IR) 3000 - 50000 nm
    FAR Infrared (FIR) 50000 - 1000000 nm
