  • Introduction

    ThinProcess® is the logical next step to our well-known and established OPTOPLEX® family.

    With the launch of ThinProcess® you enjoy a comprehensive ZEISS solution for monitoring large surface coating processes, providing you with information on the quality of your products – with the precision of laboratory systems.

    By using our modern software, the system family can be integrated with the latest ZEISS probes. These fulfill the requirements for "lab-like certainty" directly on the production line.  

     

    ThinProcess® offers solutions for in-line process monitoring of all large surface coating processes:

    Horizontal or vertical glass coating
    Roll-to-roll film coating
    In vacuum or atmosphere

    All members of the ThinProcess® family:

    • Measure the spectral reflection, transmission and sheet resistance in line with the hardware.
    • Calculate color values, coating thicknesses and other characteristics using the spectra.
    • Are modularly expandable.

  • ThinProcess® P

    ThinProcess® P is a single or multichannel spectrometer system that measures the optical properties following one or multiple coating steps.

    The discrete substrates are automatically identified and the gaps are used for automatic triggering and referencing.

    The measurement can be performed in vacuum or atmosphere.

    Features:

    • Measurements of the spectral transmittance and reflectance (380 nm - 1,050 nm)

  • ThinProcess® Q

    ThinProcess® Q is a traversing spectrometer system that measures the optical properties of the finished product.

    The system provides you with multiple automatic scan modes for measuring predefined positions on the final product.

  • ThinProcess® R

    ThinProcess® R is a single or multichannel spectrometer which measures the optical properties following one or multiple coating steps.

    The system control uses digital I/O or feldbus signals to activate the the measurement and the referencing.

    The measurement can be performed in vacuum or atmosphere.

  • ThinProcess® WEB

    ThinProcess® WEB is a single or multichannel spectrometer system that measures the optical properties following one or multiple coating steps in coil coating plants.

    The measurement regime can be completely integrated into the automation strategy of the machine.

    The measurement can be performed in vacuum or atmosphere.

  • Software

    The ThinProcess® family is supported by ThinProcess® software. 

     

    This formula-based monitoring software can be used to display the spectral properties and to calculate different coating parameters such as color values or coatingthicknesses. 

     

    This ensures that the software is consistently aligned with your application scenario so that you see only the information relevant for your application. You can modify the suitable configuration using separate tools. 

     

    The software enables you to freely configure your own calculations and how the results are displayed. The measurements can be displayed as values, trends or distributions.

     

    Data is stored in CSV files and a SQL database.

    The ThinProcess® software features:

    • Diverse alarm functions, i.e. automatic warnings if limit values are exceeded
      (definition of value limits and warning levels).
    • An optional data history module.
    • A seamless incorporation of SCOUT (a model-based coating analysis software) as well as chemometric models.
